Luke Celenza grew up surrounded by music and started studying classical piano at age five. Jazz caught his ear, and at age 12 he was accepted into the Manhattan School of Music Pre-college Jazz Division. He received a silver award from the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts, and is also a Presidential Scholar in the Arts. He has completed his second year of study with Professor Frank Kimbrough and is currently completing his third with Professor Kenny Barron at The Juilliard School, where he is enrolled in the jazz studies department.
