Betsy Maury joins NYYS with a background in both nonprofit fundraising and grantmaking. She oversaw the portfolio of arts and culture grant programs at Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation in Sheffield, MA working with individual artists, arts nonprofits and art residency programs. In 2021 she stewarded the literary papers of American poet Amy Clampitt to the Berg Collection of the New York Public Library, establishing the only archive of the poet’s life and work. In 2022 Betsy designed a program to provide robust summer enrichment activities to middle-school students through a coordinated program of youth-serving nonprofits and school district staff. She has served on the board of the Scoville Memorial Library and volunteered as middle school writing mentor. Betsy has also served as a grant reviewer for the National Endowment for the Arts grant program in northwest Connecticut.
Prior to working in nonprofit management, Betsy had a career in book publishing.
