Orchestra of St. Luke’s (OSL) began in 1974 as a group of virtuoso musicians performing chamber music concerts at Greenwich Village’s Church of St. Luke in the Fields.
The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) is an American not-for-profit performance-rights organization (PRO) that protects its members' musical copyrights by monitoring public performances of their music, whether via a broadcast or live performance, and compensating them accordingly.
MAESTRA was founded to give support, visibility, and community to the women who make the music in the musical theater industry. Through MAESTRA mentorships, NYYS Musical Theater Songwriting students learn from leading women in the theater industry.
The New York Film Academy (NYFA) believes the process of creation itself can be ennobling to the artist, and the artist’s creation can have a profound impact on others. NYYS Musical Theater Masterclasses will be held at NYFA. NYFA students will also collaborate with NYYS students to perform their works at Joe’s pub.
The NYYS is proud to continue partnering with HSA on the Musical Theater Composition program, now in its second season. Classes will be held at HSA and HSA students will collaborate with NYYS students to perform their works at Joe’s pub.
