The Roy and Shirley Durst Début Series
Initiated in 1997, the Roy and Shirley Durst Début Series provides the most gifted emerging performers with an opportunity to play with the nation's premier young people's orchestra in début concerts in Carnegie Hall. In addition to performing three works from the standard concert repotoire, these bright young artists will also give world premieres of works commissioned for them through the orchestra's nationally accliamed First Music Series.
