The New York Youth Symphony holds annual auditions for all of its programs. All interested students must apply and audition. Past students are encouraged to apply, but placement is not guaranteed.

1. Review all information to make certain you meet eligibility and fee requirements and understand the attendance policy for each program.
2. After fully completing the application on-line, submit the $75 application processing fee.
The fee may be mailed by check or paid on-line by Visa or Mastercard.
3. Review the audition information for your desired program(s).
4. After reviewing audition dates, call the New York Youth Symphony at 212-581-5933 (M-F 10-5) on or after July 15, 2010, to schedule an appointment. NYYS will not call the applicant.
5. Notification: Applicants will be notified by e-mail of their status within the week following the final audition. Do not contact the NYYS unless you have not been notified.

Please note: There is no set deadline for applications. You must, however, submit your application and payment before you schedule an audition. Also, the sooner you submit an application, the more likely the chance that your preferred audition time will be available.
